James Moorhead Obituary

Jimmy was born on February 25, 1955 in Perth Amboy, NJ, to the late William and Anne (n.Kraft) Moorhead and was a lifetime resident of Iselin. Jimmy worked a multitude of jobs with his most prominent career at the Abattoir in Carteret for 20 years. He loved his family, especially his girls and his grandchildren. Riding his Harley Davidson gave him great joy. He cherished every ride.
He was predeceased by his sister, Debbie Moorhead and his son-in-law, Michael Gerhab.
Jimmy is survived by his cherished life partner, Christine (Chrissy) Newton, of Iselin; his beloved daughters; Jamie Moorhead, of Colonia, Jill Nunes, and her husband Eric, of Colonia, and Jennifer Gerhab of Howell; his brother, Bill Moorhead, and his wife Carol, of Whitehouse Station; his sister, Gail Kvalkauskas, of Brick; his grandchildren: Lindsey, Aaden, Addison, Landon, Logan, Leo; his great-grandson, Liam; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Ave., Iselin. A Prayer Service will begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Deacon Anthony from St. Cecelia Church.
