Thomas Erlon

Thomas Alexander Erlon, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at his home in North Dallas, Texas, with his wife and sons by his side. He was born on July 30, 1942 in Yakima, Washington, the son of Leo and Lucille Erlon. Tom grew up in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Cretin High School in St. Paul and attended The University of Minnesota, where he obtained Bachelor Degrees in both Finance and Marketing. On August 22, 1964, Tom married the love of his life, Diane. He worked as a media director for several prominent advertising agencies in Chicago and Dallas, and he later went on to start his own media placement company in the mid-1980's. Tom was an avid motorsports fan and motorcyclist. Additionally, he had a true love for animals, traditional jazz, craft beer, and fine foods. Most of all he loved and was extremely devoted to the care and happiness of his family, and he imparted a strong work ethic, sense of integrity, and sense of humor to all of them. Thomas Erlon is survived by his loving wife Diane; his younger son, Bradley; his older son, Christopher, and wife, Julianna; grandchildren, Kristen and Collin; among numerous other family and friends.
