Robert Eugene Wallace, Jr.

Irving, TX – Robert Eugene Wallace 68, of Irving, TX passed away peacefully on the afternoon of February 9, 2026 in Baylor, Scott and White Hospital Irving, TX.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening on Feb.20th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Branam Chapel at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, 1714 North Story Road, Irving, TX.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday the 21st at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation and Service will be handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, with Pastor Matt Queen officiating. Internment at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson, TX will be performed by Adams Graham Funeral Home in Anson, TX

Robert was born to Robert Eugene Wallace, Sr. and Virginia Jeanette Peterson in Rockford, Illinois on April 12, 1957. He was the youngest child with Janet Wallace being older. While he was very young, the family moved to Texas, first to Abilene, where his father was head of the Abilene State School, and a year or two later the family moved to Dallas, TX. He grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. Robert attended public schools from the first grade through high school. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1975. While in High School he was active in the Spanish Club and the JROT.

Robert attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corp of Cadets his first two years. He graduated in 1979 with a BS degree in Electronic Technologies. Upon graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas, and began his career in Information Technology at Texas Instruments.

Robert married his college sweetheart, Becky Bennett January 3, 1981 at First Baptist Church in Rosenberg, TX. They moved to Irving, TX, where they initially rented a small home. 5 months later they purchased a home of their own in the Plymouth Park North neighborhood where they lived for nearly 45 years. They were members of the Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Iving, where Robert taught the Royal Ambassadors (RAs) for many years. Robert was also for a time the President of the Gideons International Irving Camp and in 2007 he was awarded the Boy Scouts' Good Shepard Award, for distinguished service leading toward the spiritual, physical, mental, and moral development of youth.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Becky; his daughters, Brandy Eddie and Dana Rajendran; his grandchildren, Drew Rajendran, Dani Rajendran, and Caleb Eddie; his stepmother, Betty Wallace; his sister, Janet Railsback; his half -brothers Gary Wallace, Brian Wallace, and Jay Dottle; and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Eugene Wallace, Sr. and Virginia Jeanette Peterson and half-brother and John Dottle.
