January 3, 1953 - November 17, 2025
Thomas M Ferriell, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. A funeral service will follow immediately after 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, IL. Memorials in Thomas's honor may be made to the Decatur chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, The Decatur Municipal Band, or First United Methodist Church.
Thomas was born January 3, 1953, in Decatur, IL, the son of Warren Leroy and Mary Lou (Jenner) Ferriell.
He retired as a teacher from Mt Zion public schools, worked as a manager for the Decatur Municipal Band and The Voyagers, as well as owning his own lawn care business and being a self-sponsored managing broker since 1979.
Thomas was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, the Decatur Municipal Band, and the Decatur Chapter of SAR. He enjoyed real estate, playing and leading The Voyagers, talking about music and lawn equipment, and attending his nieces and nephews' activities.
Thomas is survived by his brother Mark Ferriell; sister-in-law Rosemary Ferriell; Nieces and nephews Kelly (Douglas) Boerma, John (Nicole) Ferriell, Mary Jo (David) Leimbach, Mark (Lori) Ferriell, Robert (Courtney) Ferriell, Alan (Brittany) Ferriell; Fifteen (15) great nieces and nephews; Three (3) great-great nieces and nephews; and special friends Barry and Lynn Jacobs.
He is preceded by his parents, aunts and uncles, and his brother John.
