Thomas J. Finke, a humble and spiritual man, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on March 24, 1934, in Covington, Kentucky, Thomas touched the lives of all who knew him with his unwavering faith and commitment to family.
He spent his life embodying kindness and compassion. Thomas was a devoted husband to Eleanor Finke (nee Pies), with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family, which includes their children: Rosemary Finke, Paul (Jami) Finke, Gina Finke, Thomas "Sam" Finke, Will (Polly) Finke, Mark Finke, Teresa (Matthew) Finke-Moreland, Christine Finke, Anna (Don) Adkins and Rob "Bo" Finke. With an endearing dedication to family, Thomas took immense joy in the company of his 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Thomas's interests were simple and profound. He cherished walking and spending time outdoors, reveling in the beauty of nature. His strong faith was a guiding force in his life, providing him with a sense of purpose and serenity. He particularly loved having his family gathered around him, creating cherished memories that will last for generations.
Thomas is also survived by his sisters, Carol Montgomery and Marlene Finke, along with a host of other family members and friends who will remember him dearly.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Finke (nee Berling) and Henry Finke, as well as seven siblings. His absence will be felt profoundly by all whose lives he enriched through his gentle spirit and steadfast heart.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10am - 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Henry Catholic Church, 3813 Dixie Hwy., Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
