Thomas Bradford Flowe, lovingly known as Tom, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1939, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tom lived a life characterized by service, generosity, and a deep commitment to his faith.
Tom was the proud owner of Tom Flowe and Associates, a sales organization through which he and his team sold building supplies across three states for an impressive 38 years. Throughout his career, Tom fostered lifelong friendships, demonstrating a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
In addition to his successful business endeavors, Tom was a proud veteran who served in the Army for two years. His military experience instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that was evident in all aspects of his life.
Tom was known for his kind and nurturing personality; he was a friend to all and embodied the virtues of generosity, love, and gentlemanly conduct. His fun-loving spirit and willingness to help others made him a beloved figure in his community. Above all, Tom held a profound love for his church, serving with a servant's heart, which grounded him throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, Lynda Flowe; daughter, Julie F. Smith, and her husband Blair; son, Brad Flowe and Angie; stepson, Bret Betler; stepdaughter, Tracy Stejskal, and her husband Petr; sister, Ann Evans Austin, and beloved family friend Earl Driggers; and several cherished grandchildren: Ashley Smith, Kate Smith, Evan Smith, Kendall Luscre, Lauren Flowe, Jacob Stephens, and Ericka Betler.
Tom is preceded in death by, wife Jeannette Berry Flowe, beloved parents, Bunn Flowe and Sudie Mullis and Richard and Catherine Evans. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Joe Flowe, Bobby Flowe, Bill Flowe, Jerry Evans, and Dick Evans.
Tom Flowe leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church's Capital Needs Fund in Tom Flowe's memory as he was a lifelong member.
