Thomas J. Foster, (80), of Hamilton, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday. Born on October 29, 1944, Thomas led a life of service, dedication, and skill, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
After proudly serving in the United States Army, Thomas pursued higher education, earning his degree in Computer Programming from Onondaga Community College. With a strong work ethic and an eye for detail, he began a successful career as an Ornamental Die Cutter at Oneida LTD, where he worked for many years.
Thomas eventually realized his entrepreneurial dreams and founded TJ Foster Locksmith in Oneida, NY, offering his expertise and reliable service to the community. Known for his wide-ranging abilities and resourcefulness, he was truly a jack of all trades, always busy and puttering around.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Dumers) Gale Foster; his children, Thomas Foster (Donna Flag), Latitisa (Don) Vanderworken, Jamie (Amy) Foster, Andrew (Wendy) Foster, Pamela Dailey, and Jason Foster (Ramela King); his stepchildren, Stephen Gale and Craig Gale; his two sisters, Barbara Arnold and Margaret (Ernie) Scribner; his brother, David Foster; his many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his stepson, Scott Gale.
Family and friends may call 11am to 1pm Wednesday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, followed by a funeral service. Thomas will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y.
