Thomas "Tom" French

Thomas William French, known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2025, in Andover, Ohio, at the age of 41. Born on October 5, 1984, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, Tom was a son of Raymond "Buddy" and Barbara (Uhlmann) French.
Dedicated to his community, Tom worked as a firefighter with the Andover Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT for Pymatuning Ambulance Service for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and playing horseshoes.
Tom is survived by his parents, Raymond "Buddy" French and Barbara French, of Andover; his brother, Michael French of Andover as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Betty French and Ted and Helen Uhlmann.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Steet Street, Andover OH 44003, immediately followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jason Hockran, of Andover United Methodist Church, will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to the Andover Volunteer Fire Department, 153 Station St., P.O. Box 900 Andover, OH 44003.
