Thomas “Tommy” Gabriel, 71, of Denver, NC, passed away peacefully the morning of September 3rd, 2024, with the love of his family surrounding him. Thomas was born in Newton, NC on September 24th, 1952, to the late Watson and Dorcas Gabriel.

Thomas graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He had a long and successful career in aviation where he was employed as the Chief of Maintenance for Hoechst Celanese for 21 years and later retired from Bank of America as the Chief of Maintenance after another 21 years.

He was a devoted husband, father, and Pop Pop. His kindness, wisdom, handyman skills and sense of humor will be dearly missed.

He was a kid at heart. His passions were focused around syncing up Christmas lights to music, gardening and grilling while enjoying an ice-cold beer.

His greatest joy came from his family and many friendships he cherished throughout his life.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Gege Gabriel, his daughter Dacey (Tripp) Reynolds and his favorite granddaughter, Evie Grace Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at Raymer – Kepner Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service in the Chapel.

Memorial donations in Thomas's name may be made to VIA Hospice Palliative Care, Lincoln County.
