Thomas Gatton Obituary
Thomas Edward "Eddie G" Gatton Jr., 78, of Kannapolis, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Atrium Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
He was born on May 31, 1945 in Concord, to the late Thomas Gatton and Juanita Hager Gatton McCreary. Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Eddie was the owner of his own Car Dealership and he enjoyed fishing, cars, and the casino.
In addition to his father, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gatton.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Sheila Thomas Gatton of Kannapolis; mother, Juanita McCreary; brother, David Gatton; children, Tommy Gatton (Teresa), Tonda Milligan (Mike), Michelle Steeley (Gary), Michael Gatton (Deana), and Jennifer Scercy (Shane); nephew, Gary Wayne Gatton (Summer), and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-nieces.
The service will be held Sunday, February 18th, at 12:00 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Anglican Church (Meeting in Village Chapel) 310 Brookdale Street, Kannapolis with Military Honors.
