Thomas Getzinger Obituary
Thomas Getzinger, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 19, 2024. Tom was born on April 10, 1933 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Alice Getzinger, sisters Mary Lou Falter and Anne Wagner, first wife Freda Weingart, and wife of 48 years, Mary Carol Getzinger. Tom was a devoted father to his son, Greg (Alisa) Getzinger, and his daughters Beth (Rod) Rozumny, Sue (Mike) Heinl, and Mary Alice. He cherished his role as grandfather to Meghan and Brian Rozumny, Kaitlynn and Matthew Heinl, and Mary Kate Morber and Mary Margaret (Colin) Pamer, as well as a great grandfather to Tristan Pamer.
A devout Catholic, Tom was a kindhearted and generous man, whose warmth and compassion touched all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and unforgettable memories.
Calling hours will be Wednesday October 23 from 10-11 am at St. Francis de Sales located at 4019 Manchester Road Akron, OH 44319 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
