Thomas Barkalow Grob

Thomas Barkalow Grob, 88, of Bullock, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 3, 2025 at Granville Health Systems in Oxford, NC. Tom was born in Monmouth County, NJ on April 22, 1937.

Tom was a graduate of Ashbury Park High School, Class of 1955. He then began his career at Jersey Central Power and Light Company in 1960 while stock car racing and joining the Army National Guard serving five years. After retiring, Tom and Adrienne relocated to Bullock, NC in 1995, building a home and a new life in Grassy Creek. Tom enjoyed stock car racing, boating, fishing, waterskiing, and model railroad trains. He was a member of Last Train in Clarksville Railroad Club, Shark River Beach and Yacht Club. Tom served the Lord as a sunday school teacher and joined the Gideon's ministries.

Tom is preceeded in death by his father, Gustav Conrad Grob Jr, who passed in 1969 and his mother, Helen Barkalow Grob, who passed away in 1992. He is also preceeded in death by a brother, who was stillborn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Adrienne Lucille Grob; Son, Thomas Barkalow Jr (Lois); Grandsons, Thomas Barkalow III and Matthew Albert Grob. Aditionally, son Theodore Barkalow Grob (Jennifer); Grandsons, Tyler Thomas Grob, Cody Robert Grob, and Conner Joseph Grob. Not to be forgotten his son Todd Barkalow Grob.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 1:00 p.m. at Grassy Creek Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior from 12:00-12:45 p.m.
