Thomas Daniel "Danny" Guyton

Thomas Daniel "Danny" Guyton, 76, of Chapin died at the Columbia VA Hospital on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Danny was born in Columbia on February 22, 1948 to Marvin and Annie Guyton.
After graduating high school Danny was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in Vietnam from January of 1968 through December of 1969. After his service, he became a residential and commercial electrician and retired with Palmetto State Electric.
Danny learned how to cook in the Army and loved to cook for "his army", his family. He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to play guitar and spend time with his friends, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Donna (Al) Cooper, Daniel Guyton, Marshall (Ashley) Guyton; siblings Joanne Lemox, Judy Greer, Libby (Paul) Price, Mike (Margaret)Guyton, Ted Guyton, Jerry (Ann) Guyton, and Keith Guyton; and his grandchildren Hannah Cooper and Kaitlynn Guyton.
A service will be held at 7pm on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Chapin, 939 Chapin Rd, Chapin, with a visitation from 5-7pm. Interment will take place at 3pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Newberry Memorial Gardens with military honors being performed by the United States Army.
