Thomas Hanlon

Thomas James Hanlon, Jr., of Winter Garden, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born in Girardville, PA, Thomas was a longtime former resident of the Frankford Section of Philadelphia, and member of the former St. Joan of Arc Parish. Upon his retirement in 1996, Thomas and Rosemarie relocated to Winter Garden, Florida, approximately 30 hears ago, where they began a new chapter of life, and became members of Corpus Christi Church in Kissimmee, FL.

He spent his career working as a pipefitter with the Budd Company for 40 years. After his retirement, Tom went on to work at Disney's Animal Kingdom for 10 years and enjoyed being a volunteer at the Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee, FL

Thomas loved being outdoors and was often found fixing things and tinkering in the shed. He was well known for cruising around the neighborhood in his golf cart with Ro Ro and Boots. Tom liked teasing back and forth with his neighbor Roger, aka "Buffalo" about who was older. He loved baseball his whole life and was actively being recruited by the Pittsburgh Pirates in his much younger days. Tom also played the saxophone in earlier years, which he still has to this day. When it was time to relax, Tom enjoyed watching British TV shows and hanging out on Friday nights with his buddy Bob and "the gang".

Tom was a longtime member and 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus # 2279.

Beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Slusarz); loving father of Teresa Russo, Kim Marie (Kenneth) Heckrote and Thomas J. Hanlon, III; dear grandpop of Cody, Shane, and Luca. Thomas is the cherished brother of Catherine Valovage; uncle of John and David Valovage. He will be deeply missed by his dog, Boots

He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (nee Zincavage) and Thomas J. Hanlon, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
