Thomas Edward Heldreth

Thomas Edward Heldreth passed away at the age of 93 on October 6th, 2024. He was born on March 17th 1931, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Tom was the eighth of nine children born to Herman Moore Heldreth and Ollie Gay Vaught Heldreth. Tom spent all of his youth and most of his adult life in Bluefield. After completion of high school he worked for Norfolk and Western Railroad and for twenty plus years, and until retirement he worked as a salesman for General Mills. He was an active member of the Elks Club and held the highest local office. Tom married Virginia Lee Huff in 1951. They had one child, Roger Preston Heldreth. After retirement he spent time in Fort Myers, Florida walking the beaches and was a member of the Lions Club. Just after Virginia's death he moved to Maryville, TN. to be closer to Roger and his only grandchild Sarah Preston Heldreth. He has been in Maryville for over 20 years being a wonderful grandfather. Tom will always be remembered for his helpful nature with family, his kind nature and his genuine smile. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, and his son Roger. Remaining family, daughter in law Ginger Dane Heldreth and granddaughter Sarah Preston Heldreth.
