BLUEFIELD – Brenda Sue Heldreth, 74, of Bluefield, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born April 15, 1951, in Baileysville, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Green and the late Mina June Shirley.
Brenda was a very hard worker. She went to work at The Sterling Drive Inn at an early age. She worked at many local restaurants. In her later years, she was co-owner of many businesses with her husband Gary.
She loved her children above anything else. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was very proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. She loved her fur-babies. She enjoyed music and concerts, especially George Jones, who she once hosted, to her most recent favorite artist, Jelly Roll.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Heldreth; granddaughter, Kayla Hazelwood Cook; and sisters, Sandra Green, and Sharon Parks; and brothers, Leonard Green, and Rudolph "Jr." Green.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Steve Miller and wife Michelle of Bluefield, and Tammy Hazelwood and husband Jeff of Bluefield; grandchildren, Steven Miller, Jr., Mary Beth Miller, Brittany Hazelwood, Brandi Christian and husband Zack, Grace Brown and husband Austin, Randall Hazelwood; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Barbara Knipp, Pamela Davis, and Cathy Parton; brothers, David Green, Joseph Green; father of Brenda's children, David Miller of Princeton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Bailey Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Craig Hammond, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the service hour.
