He was born January 19, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, to Charles A. and Anna E. Felker Henderson. He and Carol Young were married October 21, 1978, at the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
Thomas was a lifelong farmer, and his greatest joy was sharing his love of farming with his grandkids through rides on the tractors and combine.
He was a 1974 graduate of Delta High School. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia, with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and an emphasis in animal husbandry.
He was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, serving 12 years as an elder. He was a former longtime member of Apple Creek Presbyterian Church Memorial Association Board, where he served in various capacities.
He was a 30-year member of the Board of Directors of the Delta Fire Protection District, a former Boy Scout leader, and an alumnus of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of nearly 47 years, Carol Henderson of Delta; children: Elaine (Clayton) Wright of Franklin, Tennessee; Matthew Henderson of Delta; Emily Henderson of Jackson; Lisa (Kory) Mouser of Marquand, Missouri; grandchildren, Declan and Cora Wright of Franklin and Tucker and Robert Mouser of Marquand.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
