Thomas "Grizzly" Henrikson 64, of Aurora, passed away on June 15th 2025 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on January 5th, 1961 in Chicago to the late Don and Florence (Klingenberg) Henrikson.
Tom was employed by FedEx Freight for 30 years. Tom's family was the most important thing to him. His greatest joy was taking everyone camping. As he would sit around the campfire or fish at the lake he would always say, "It doesn't get any better than this."
He is survived by his loving wife. Tammy (Winders); children, Ryan (Abby) Henrikson, Andrew (Jamie) Henrikson and Paige Henrikson; 6 grandchildren who he adored, Anjelica, Angel, Angelina, Andrew, Paytin and Avery; brothers, Don (Laurie), Bob, Rick (Brenda); sister, Judy; brother in law and sisters in-law, Dawn (Chuck) Leadbetter and Christine Winders; numerous nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Laurie French and a host of friends and relatives as well as a special friend, Joshua Bickett.
Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his in-laws, Leslie and Marilee Winders; brothers in law, Brian and Todd Winders; nephew, Cameron Leadbetter; grandsons, Michael and Dustin Bickett.
A special thank-you to those who cared for Tom or helped around the house whether it was big or small his family appreciates you.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 4 PM - 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025
at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
