Thomas Richard Hernley

Thomas Richard Hernley, 76, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and formerly Palmyra, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025. Tom was born in Mechanicsburg, PA on January 15, 1949, to the late Albert "Dick" and Fay Hernley. Tom graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1967 and The Pennsylvania State University in 1969. After over 30 years of service, he retired from The Hershey Company as a senior staff engineer of packaging systems.
Tom married the love of his life, Louise (Firestone), on June 27, 1970. They had 2 children, both of whom survive, Amy Minarich and husband Jon, Mike Hernley and wife Kristi. Tom is survived by 2 grandsons, Adam and Kyle Minarich, and 3 step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Francesca, and Mack Rizzo, and his sister, Sue Lehmer.
Tom loved golf, especially with his son Mike and a number of other family members and friends. He was the proud patriarch of the Hernley Family Ocean City, Maryland Beach Week for 30 years.
More than anything Tom loved his family. His devotion to his wife Louise was undying and he loved and cared for her selflessly.
Visitation will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Musselman Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 11:00AM.
