Thomas Hoadley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on September 11, 1958, in Bethesda, Maryland, who most recently resided in the Seaplane Capital Tavares, FL.
Tom was a man of many passions. He found solace in the art of fishing, strumming his guitar, rooting for his favorite football teams, time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Tom was well known for his kindness as well as his direct and forthright thoughts. Tom was a man who spoke his mind. He often bid farewell with a signature phrase, "see ya", then would imprint you with another of our favorites "love, love, love." His life motto was simple, yet meaningful.
Professionally, Tom dedicated his time as a Lake County School bus driver, touching the lives of countless children during his career. His commitment to their safety and well-being will always be remembered.
Tom had a zest for life and his passion for his various hobbies. He would spend his time fishing, playing the guitar, and watching football. There wasn't anything Tom didn't know, he was an Expert at everything. He was a skilled mechanic, that had a knack for fixing anything. Tom owned a jewelry business, where he would fix and customize beautiful pieces. Tom was a talented musician, who played in several bands throughout his life. Tom spent most of his evenings doing what he loved, fishing! Tom would get ready to go fishing and say, it's "PRIME-TIME" with a cigarette in his mouth and smile on his face. Nothing brought Tom more joy than being out on his boat fishing, surrounded by the serenity and peace of nature. Thomas will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, the love for his family, and his unwavering passion for the things he enjoyed.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy Hoadley, with whom he shared many cherished moments. He also leaves behind his daughters, Charlene Davis, Michelle Diaz, Melissa Pemberton, and Danielle Hoadley. Thomas was a doting grandfather to Mason Stauss, Landon Diaz, Sophia Gundersen, Luke Diaz, and Thomas Gundersen.
In addition to his immediate family, Tom is survived by his brother, Bill Hoadley, and other dear relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Services to celebrate Tom's life will be held on July 21, 2024 at 2pm. Location will be at Tom's and Cindy's home. 1631 Sunshine Lane, Tavares Fl. 32778
Thomas Hoadley will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy of love and kindness inspire us all.
