Thomas “Tom” Hoeffner
Thomas “Tom” Hoeffner, 79, passed away on August 18, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
A lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Tom attended St. John Vianney Minor Seminary and St. Vincent de Paul Major Seminary before serving his country as an electronic technician in the U.S. Navy. He went on to become the owner of Treasure Coast TV and later worked as a Biomedical Technician at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
Tom was a devout parishioner of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. He cherished time with his family and enjoyed fishing, boating, and family gatherings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Cornille) Hoeffner; son, Kevin Hoeffner (wife Debbie); daughter, Jennie (Hoeffner) Capezza (husband Louis); brothers, Bill Hoeffner and Gerry Hoeffner (wife Mendi); sisters, Susie Trundle (husband Terry) and Lisa Hoeffner; grandchildren, Brianna (Hoeffner) Rouse (husband Josh), Jacob Hoeffner (wife Hope), Lauren Hoeffner, Kate Capezza, Abbey Capezza, and Luke Capezza; and great-grandson, Kai Rouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Margaret Hoeffner; sisters, Patricia and Sally Hoeffner; and brother, Fr. Robert Hoeffner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
