Thomas Holcomb Obituary
Thomas Edward Holcomb, better known as Pete, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on August 17, 2023. Visitation will be held on August 20, 2023 at 11:30am until the 1:00pm funeral service in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will be in Mackey Boshell Cemetery in Alabama.
Pete was born on November 13, 1936, to William Thomas Holcomb and Gertrude Grissom Holcomb in Michie, TN. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, enjoyed watching all sports and especially spending time with family and friends. He was known for his quick wit and gift of storytelling.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1955-1958, while being stationed in Korea for 18 months of that time. He retired as a general manager after working in the food service industry for 46 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Glenda Townley Holcomb; daughter, Lynn Holcomb Mitchell and her husband John; grandchildren, Jackson Mitchell and Katherine Mitchell; grand dog and best friend, Ellie; and great grand dog, Buddy.
