Thomas Sidney Holland, Jr., 85, of Warsaw, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2025. Born in Savannah, Georgia to the late Thomas S. Holland, Sr. and the late Thelma Whitehead Walsh Holland, he was the loving husband of Elisa Goglia Holland. He was an alumni of VCU. Tom retired from a 29-year-long career in sales with the Deluxe Printing Company. He also refereed Virginia High School and Division II and III college football on the east coast for 25 years.

To know Tom was to love him. He was passionate about health and sports. He remained active throughout his life, and he and Elisa loved working out together. Although he retired at 53 there was no shortage of things to keep Tom busy. He loved being on the water, sailing and fishing; he loved to travel and was an avid gardener. He loved being at home as well, woodworking, eating seafood (especially softshell crabs), and watching football – always rooting hard for his Redskins. Tom loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and visits with them were always a highlight for Tom.

Left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his wife Elisa; his daughter, Scotti Holland Reid (Luke); his son, Thomas "Ty" S. Holland, III (Teri-Lee); his amazing grandchildren: Zachary Ross Long, Amanda Taylor Long, Jacob Walton Cunningham, Logan Teague Holland and Lila Marie Essig; his sister, Marylogan Holland Snyder; his nephew Lee Allison; and his niece Logan Vetrovec.

A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held at a time and date that will be posted here when decided upon.

In lieu of flowers Tom's family asks that you make a donation in his loving memory to either the Richmond County YMCA at 45 Gorge Brown Lane, Warsaw, VA 22572 or to Riverside Hospice at P.O. Box 833 Warsaw, VA 22572. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Riverside Hospice for the competent and loving care they provided.
