Thomas Holt Obituary
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Holt and Jeanne Burm and his sister, Cheryl Behel.
He is survived by the love of his life and spouse, Anita; daughter Heather (Eric) Jarvi and grandchildren Riley, Eli and Owen: siblings Debbie (Bob) Hess, Jon (Debbie) Holt, Pattie Beland, Bobby Holt, Joanne (Dave) Hoffman, and Laurie Lynch and many nieces. nephews, and friends,
Tom started his career at Meijer and later worked at Toy's R Us in New York. He was transferred to Cincinnati, Ohio where he met his spouse, Anita. They were married exactly one year after their first date and remained married for 23 years. Tom took a position as a recruiter for a small oil company in Fort Worth, TX and later accepted a position of risk management for Murphy Oil in Arkansas. Tom was fortunate to be able to retire at the age of 62 and he and Anita moved back to southwest Michigan to be closer to family.
Tom enjoyed spending time riding his motorcycle, golfing, boating and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his two dogs, Otis and Mabel. Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of life to follow in the summer of 2026. In lieu of flowers and remembrance of Tom, donations are welcome to Corwell Health Palliative care and hospice services or your nearest animal shelter.
