Thomas Husby Obituary
Tom was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin, the son of Clarence and Ellen (Stoll) Husby.
Tom would enlist in the Minnesota National Guard, serving from 1964 to 1970. Tom then attended St. Thomas University and was employed as a Quality Control Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
Tom was united in marriage to Ompon Chomson on October 12, 1996. They would make Shakopee their home.
Tom enjoyed traveling the west with Ompon and his extended family. They visited Deadwood and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, as well as Yellowstone and the Devil's Tower in Wyoming. He liked to go fishing but always had Ompon bait his hook and remove his fish.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ompon Husby; his sisters, Linda and Susan; his sister-in-law, Saisin, and her partner Dave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ellen Husby; and his siblings, Gerald, Jackie, Bob, and Paul.
Tom's life will be honored with a Funeral Prayer Service on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11:00 AM. hosted at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Avenue East, Shakopee. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home's Gathering Room.
