Thomas I. Jones of Pembroke passed away on January 2, 2026 after a brave battle with Melanoma. He was 56 years old. Tom leaves his devoted wife Cindy (McInnis) and his children Brendon, Korey and his fiancee Mary, Declan, and Caleb and his partner Alyssa. Son of the late David and Helen (McHugh) Jones, Tom leaves his siblings David and his wife Judy, Todd and his wife Cheryl, Linda Leroy and her husband Tim, and Jody White and his wife Michelle, plus many nieces and nephews, and his "second family", the owners and staff of the Bridgwaye Restaurant. Although he will not see his first grandchild come into this world in April, he will be lovingly remembered just the same, and we know he is watching over us all.

Tom was born in Edmonds, Washington State, where he lived until relocating to his mother's hometown of Natick after the death of his father when he was 9. Tom attended Natick high where he played varsity football. Football was his passion, and he was very good at it. He was also on the varsity track team and graduated from Natick High School in 1988.

Tom attended Mass Bay Community College while working full time for Carr Development out of Natick, doing rehabilitation for low-income housing. He also worked with the Metro West Daily News out of Framingham and for Wells Fargo as an armed officer. Tom found his passion to be an electrician in his 20s and worked for Giombetti Electric out of Middleborough and a few other companies. He moved to the South Shore where his sister Linda set him up on a date with Cindy. They married on January 29, 2000.

Tom became a member of the IBEW Local 103 Electrician's Union in 2003 and worked for John A. Penney Electric out of Cambridge for 21 years until his illness forced early retirement. Tom had a strong work ethic and worked through most of his 10-year illness despite the treatments and surgeries - he was so dedicated and wanted nothing but to provide for his family. Tom's family was everything to him. He was a devoted father who always found the strength to be at every game and spent countless hours on the fields and in the rinks, be it football, baseball, basketball or hockey, for his four active boys, traveling inside and outside the country watching his son play college hockey. He was so very, very proud of his boys! He was an inspiration to them as well, and to everyone who knew and loved him.

Tom made friends very easily. He was kind, compassionate, funny, and would help anyone in need if he was able. He was a joker who liked to take selfies everywhere he went, no matter where he was. He enjoyed camping with his brothers, Jody and their nephews and friends. He loved Brant Rock, going out on the boat with his late brother in-law John Reidy of Scituate, and enjoyed time at Todd and Cheryl's beach house, Christmas gatherings with family and friends and hanging out at "Reidy's Pool". Tom cherished his New Hampshire trip with his best friends Jody and Michelle as well as the trip he and Cindy took to Las Vegas - thank you Aunt Sandy! He loved his truck and country music, and his earbuds were a constant companion during his long illness.

Diagnosed in 2016, Tom met every challenge, every surgery and every treatment with a positive attitude. He kept the staff at MGH laughing with his jokes and never lost his sense of humor even as he lost sight in one eye. Tom was a true warrior and OUR HERO!

The Jones family would like to thank family and close friends and neighbors for their unending love, help and support, as well as the entire MGH Oncology and Neurological department for their compassionate care and support. Dr. Donald Lawrence, Dr. Bryan Choi and Krista Rubin, CNP... If it weren't for you, we would have lost Tom two years ago. You gave us more precious time to spend with our precious Tom, and we are forever grateful.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 12 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield.

Family and friends have rallied around the Jones family throughout Tom's long illness and have established a fund to help them recover financially and continue to meet present cost of living challenges. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Tom's devotion to his family, please consider a gift in his memory to: Jones Family Fund
