Thomas Sherman Karns

Thomas Sherman Karns of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on March 23, 1941. Thomas had a fulfilling career in the warehouse industry and dedicated 8 years of his life to the US Navy, serving as a Vietnam War Veteran.

Thomas, known for his passion for sports, was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds, and the Dayton Dragons. His enthusiasm for sports brought joy to those around him and created many memorable moments.

In addition to his professional achievements and hobbies, Thomas cherished his relationships with friends and family. Eleanor Karns was not only a friend but a companion for over 50 years. Thomas is survived by his daughter Michele Karns, son Gary Karns, former step-daughter Jill La Crosse, sister Marilynne Gracey, and brother Michael Karns.

Thomas Sherman Karns will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his country, love for sports, and most importantly, for the deep connections he shared with his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.
