Thomas G. Kessler, Sr., 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior, while surrounded by family, on July 31, 2023. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Virginia Kessler; and granddaughter, Heather Kessler-Carroll. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Kessler; sons, Russ (Sherry) Kessler, and Tom (Rachel) Kessler; sister, Lynn (Lee) Boyer; grandchildren, Sarah, Tawny, Kelsey, Keaton, and Kabel; ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and one nephew. Tom graduated from East High in 1958. Tom then attended Wichita State University. After schooling, Tom started working for Sears and retired after 25 years. Tom was a Mason with Bestor G Brown lodge, and become a Shriner and 32nd degree Mason. Tom was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, and most recently at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. When his sons were young he was an active Assistant Scout leader/Commissioner for Boy Scouts. In retirement, Tom and Sharon loved to travel on bus trips, and cruises around the world. Also in retirement, Tom found passion by volunteering at Wesley Hospital, and delivering for Meals on Wheels. Visitation will be from 6-8, Monday, August 7, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10:30, Tuesday, August 8, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 12:00, Tuesday, August 8, at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorials have been established with Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and the Wichita Cancer Foundation. Share condolences at www.cozine.com. Services by Cozine Memorial Group – Broadway Mortuary.
