Thomas C. Lake III was a native of Clearwater, FL, and a resident of Tampa for 50-plus years. He attended Jefferson High School and Hillsborough Community College and was an Army veteran. He also was a police officer with the Largo Police Department for several years. He was employed as a High Bill Investigator with The City of Tampa.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his sons, Michael Lake, and Kreig Lake; grandsons, Michael Augustin-Lake, Kindrick Lake, Malik Lake, Kreig Lake Jr., and Miles Lake; great grandson, Xiamor Lake; siblings, Rene Burney, and Randall Burney; other family members, Asa Lake, Crystal Lake, Tiffaney Lake, Elaner Lake, John Lake Jr., Eddie Lake, Terry Lake, Darrell Lake, Maria Lake-Hargrett, Rebecca Lake-McKay, Ella May Lake, Thelma Chance, Hezekiah and Jacqueline Small, Michael Small, and Maxine Stanback; and lifelong friends, Jeff King, Ed Amos, Warren Wilson, Johnny Primus, Lonnie Favors, Tommy Bell, Greg Henderson, All Tarpon friends, and all Tampa Friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
