Thomas Loftis Obituary

Thomas Michael Loftis Sr., 88, of Finleyville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at home. He was born November 13, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Loftis. Tom was retired from W&J College in Washington, where he worked as head of security and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Loftis; one son, Tom (Michele) Loftis Jr.; two daughters, Linda (late Gerald) Alkire and Cindy Sullivan; five grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Maria, Caroline and Cody; four great-grandchildren: Adalee, Vinny, Sophie and Malea; one brother, James Loftis; and one sister, Mary Youngstead. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Joseph and Lawrence Loftis. All arrangements are private and under direction of Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., in Finleyville. Memorial donations can be made to a veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
