Funeral services for Thomas Edward Mathis, 49, of Mangham will be 11 AM Friday, October 27, 2023, at River of Life Church, Winnsboro, with Rev. Clay Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tallulah, visitation will be 9 am until time of service at the church, under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Tommy was a member of River of Life Church and was very involved with Fresh Start Ministries. He was owner and operator of Macon Ridge Fence Company. His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his children. He helped many people with their struggles of addiction and led many people to the Lord during his time on Earth. Tommy was always very generous to his employees and friends, and he donated to many charities and animal shelters. He has been on many mission trips helping those in need and shared the gospel to all he touched.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Major Cleve Mathis and a brother, Brad Mathis. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jamie Mathis and his children, Violet, Abigayle and Josiah all of Mangham; mother, Judy Bullock and husband Devon of Monroe; sister, Lyndsey Ewing and husband Jason of Monroe; three brothers, Lance Bullock of Monroe, Brian Mathis and Whitney of Monroe; and Eric Mathis and wife Liz of Las Vegas, NV; number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and church family.
Pallbearers will be Lance Bullock, Brian Mathis, Eric Mathis, David Brent, Hayes Womack, and Donnie Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bleu Blankenship, Brandon Broussard, Bryan Haygood, Johnny Hamby, Nicholas Lamperet, and Ryan Chambers.
