He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Mattingly.
He is survived by his son, Tommy Mattingly, III (Deana) ; daughters, Karen Basham (Tony), Vicki LaMaster and Sharon Mattingly; brother, Jim Mattingly (Sharon) ; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with private burial at a later date. visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

I'm gonna miss ya Tommy. I'm gonna miss that smile and that laugh. I always knew when you walked into the diner because you made it known that you were there. You always had a wise Crack and an amazing sense of humor. I always laughed when you would ask my husband if you could take me home and he would always tell you that the bills come with me. Fly high with the angels,I will truly miss you.
