Thomas McKinney Jr.

Thomas McKinney, Jr., 98, of Cresco, passed away in his home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas, Sr. and May (Guyer) McKinney. Thomas was the beloved husband of Catherine (Genovese) McKinney. Thomas was honorably discharged from the us army in 1956 after being stationed in Germany. Thomas owned and operated McKinney Upholstering of Mountainhome for over 40 years. He was a member of The Canadensis United Methodist Church. Thomas was an avid fisherman and in his younger years, he enjoyed traveling around the country on his motorcycle, as well as, participating in motorcycle trial riding competitions and other motorcycle events. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds.
In addition to his wife, Catherine, Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his son, Thomas McKinney, III and his wife Tina; grandchildren, Jennifer Lyn Schlegel and husband William Schlegel and Emily Elizabeth Topnick; great grandchildren, Brelyn Nicole Schlegel and Sharlett Rae Schlegel. Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia A. Topnik and brother, John S. McKinney.
Services: A Memorial Service will take place at 3:30P.M. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in the Canadensis United Methodist Church, 1349 PA-390, Canadensis, PA 18325 where the family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00P.M. until the time of service.
