I was friends with Tommy when I lived in Glenwood. I was helping my mother take care of my dying father...and Tommy's personality made some difficult days more bearable. Whenever I would call my mom, I'd ask if she ran into any of my old friends in town, and she often told me she'd seen Tommy and he'd spoken to her. Today I called her and she said "that guy you used to hang out with, he passed away." I was in total shock because of how young he was, and I didn't know if he was sick or anything...I'm still in shock.

He was one of the only friends I had while in Arkansas, and he will be missed. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

I was also shocked to hear about Tommy. I had no idea until I read it in the paper today. I graduated from Kirby in 1994, a year behind Tommy in school. I would see him often in Glenwood and he would always stop and talk, check on me and my girls. He will be missed. I will be praying for the family and may God comfort each of you during this sad time.

I was shocked to learn that Tommy has passed. He was a classmate of mine for many years at Kirby and I have fond memories of him. He was a caring and humorous guy who enjoyed an adventure. Can any of you remember the reason he gave for shooting himself in the foot? And remember who spilled a big bottle of glue on the brand new carpet in the upper elementary building in Mrs Lynch's class??? He was often hilarious and things just seemed to HAPPEN to Tommy. He was fun to be around. I had only ran into him a couple of times since school and he was very gentle and delighted to see me each time. I miss him already. I wish I would have spent more time around him. As with all my former classmates, I think we should all get together more often. May God bless all of those who love and miss Tommy. You are in my prayers.
