Thomas "Marty" Mitchell

Thomas "Marty" Mitchell, age 59, of Sharpsburg, passed away Friday, December 17 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born on May 11, 1962 to the late Harlan Mitchell and Nora Thornsburg Mitchell. Marty worked for Swartz Mowing and was a hard worker. He loved to work on cars. He would tear one down, rebuild it and trade it for another project. Marty also loved to ride motorcycles any chance he got. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those that loved him.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Mitchell Manley; two step daughters, Cindy Hunt and Melinda Hunt; one step son, Wendell King; eight grandchildren, Jacob Jones, Hannah Manley, Bella Manley, Kari Dunn, Zackary Thomas Gilliam, Nathaniel Kane Reynolds, Dylan Dunn and Trey Dunn; one sister, Bonnie Sams: his girlfriend, Lou Hunt.
Memorial services will be held at Richardson Funeral Home, Monday, December 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for friends and family to visit, share memories and pay their last respects.
