Tommy was born in Raleigh, NC on July 9, 1964. He served his country with pride as a Navy veteran and found success as a skilled painter in the construction industry for many years.
Known for his love of sports, especially NC State, Tommy was a dedicated fan of football, basketball, golf, and baseball. Duce, his loyal canine companion, was a treasured part of Tommy's life, offering him constant companionship and joy.
Family meant everything to Tommy, and he cherished the tradition of gathering for Sunday dinners with his loved ones. A faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church, Tommy found peace within his church family, who supported him throughout his final days with care and compassion. Their love and support were so incredibly meaningful to Tommy and his family. Along with the ladies from the church and the wonderful Hospice Team, his family members who helped care for him were his dear cousin, Kristy Griffin, as well as his aunts, Brenda and Susie, and brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Nancy.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Clell Earl and Jessie Packard of Newport; brother, Tim Packard and wife Nancy of Garner, NC; niece, Jennifer; nephew, Brian; his sidekick, Duce; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
