Thomas Neuman, a beacon of courage and gentle adventurism, left this world on May 13, 2025, at the age of 76, in Newburgh, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the scent of the great outdoors. Born on January 31, 1949, in the picturesque town of Hood River, Oregon, Thomas's journey was one marked by the joy of discovery and the warmth of companionship.
Before he became a cherished father, a loving brother, and a doting grandfather, Thomas served his country with honor as an Air Force veteran. His experiences in the service not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a sense of discipline and the value of camaraderie. These traits seamlessly transitioned into his civilian life, particularly in his role as a Sales Manager with Cruise America in Everett, Washington. There, Thomas's leadership shone as brightly as the North Star, guiding his team with a steady hand and an open heart.
Family was the cornerstone of Thomas's world. His sons, Ethan Neuman, with his partner Amber Boykin, and Aaron Neuman, were his pride and joy. His grandchildren-Odessa Neuman, Brody Nelson, and Kahil McCain-were the twinkling stars in his twilight sky. His sister, Patty, stood by him as a testament to their shared history and unbreakable bond. Thomas was the cherished son of Lenard and Aileen (White) Neuman, whose values and love echoed throughout his life.
A special thank you is extended to Brenda Neuman, whose unwavering support and assistance provided comfort and solace during Thomas's final chapter. Her presence was a source of strength and a reminder of the power of human connection.
Thomas's passions were as vast as the open skies he once navigated. Leather crafting, whittling walking sticks, hiking, and camping-these were the activities that fueled his adventurous spirit and allowed his imagination to roam free. Each crafted piece, each carved stick, each trail conquered, and each night spent under the stars was a chapter in his book of life, written with the same courage and gentleness that defined him.
In remembering Thomas Neuman, we celebrate a man who lived by example, showing us that life is a journey best traversed with bravery, kindness, and an insatiable curiosity. His story encourages us to explore, to love deeply, and to face each day with the spirit of an adventurer. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Thomas's life was a journey well-traveled, and for that, we are all eternally grateful. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Thomas, please visit our floral store.
