Thomas Anthony "Tony" Newman

Thomas Anthony Newman, better known as "Tony," was born February 19, 1953, to the late Thomas Newman and Elthel Frazier Newman.
Tony professed his love for God at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bell Buckle, TN.
He obtained his education at East Bedford School in Wartrace where he was an awesome basketball player. Tony had several jobs including National Pen, Tyson Foods, and Bedford County Fire Academy.
Tony loved to sing and was previously in a band. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Tony loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Jean Newman.
He leaves to cherish his memory; one son, Tony Davon Ransom (Tia Thompson);one daughter, Ebony Channel Sutton; one step daughter, LaVon Ransom; five grandchildren, Makayla Ransom, Raliegh Sutton, Olivia Grizzard, Keylan Simpson, and Princeton Ransom; two sisters, Vickie Allison and Valerie (Anderson) Buchanon; one brother, Dwight Newman; devoted friends Dorothy Sutton, Roy Brown, and Rick Ransom; and a host of other family and friends.
