KNOX-Thomas Wayne Norem, 59, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. Mr. Norem was born January 1, 1958 in Knox, IN to Clyde and Mary (Warnke) Norem and lived in the area all of his life. Survivors include his sweetie, Shelby Mullins; two daughters, Lyndee (Josh) Riggs of South Bend and Chelsea Norem of Knox; one grandson, Dean Steinke; one granddaughter, Nellie Riggs; and seven brothers, Clyde Norem Jr., Glenn Norem, John Norem, Arthur Norem, Jim Norem, Dick Norem and Howard Norem, all of Knox. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Cremation will follow. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home.

My heartfelt condolences to all in the Norem family. We've lost the second of our generation of cousins and the grief runs deep. I cherish the visit Tom & Dick made to Mom & Dad's in Brems while I was home last July. We shared laughs as we shared memories and family news. I will miss Tom's laughter. It was fun to make him laugh. May God's grace give you comfort and peace at this time of your loss.

I am sharing in your sorrow today. Tom was the first cousin closest to me in age. We spent a lot of time in Sunday School and VBS together. I was so glad for his presence. He was able to keep me laughing! I wish all of you God's comfort in the days ahead.
