He attended Saint Augustine School, where at some point he had a job working in the boiler room, and then Saint Charles Preparatory School, where heplayed football (quarterback) and baseball (pitcher) for the Cardinals before graduating in 1956.
Tom then worked at Battelle Memorial Institute for a year before studying at the University of Dayton and then The Ohio State University, graduating in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Then in 1990, Computer Applications Center merged with one of its clients, Compensation Consultants, Inc., in Dublin, which was later one of the founders of CareWorks, a managed care organization.
Tom and Jack created a warm family atmosphere where many employees stayed for decades.
Tom will be remembered for his work ethic, sense of humor, engaging personality, wisdom, generosity, and much more, including his love of sports, especially golf. The rock of his family, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whom everyone leaned on for advice.
