George Naumann Obituary

George Fred Naumann, 94, passed away on June 26, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1931 in Edwardsville, Illinois. His parents were George Frederick Naumann and Mary (Weineke) Naumann. Along with his parents, this small mid-western town played a significant role in who he was. George and Beatrice Marlene (Deacon) Naumann married on December 15, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio. They have five daughters. Teresa (Michael) Halm of Centre Hall, PA, Mary (George) Otto of State College, PA, Susan (Barry) Yeager of Tombstone, AZ, Beth (David) Lee of Riverton, UT, Sharon (James) Carty of Naples, FL. Also, there are twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marlene survives him. George was proud of his Family. After graduating from Edwardsville High School, He graduated from Purdue University (BSME). He then attended the University of Dayton and Indiana University earning an MBA. He served in The United States Air Force from 1952 thru 1954. Most of his adult work life was with The Victaulic Company. He served in various capacities including President, CEO, and Chairman. He retired in 1996 and resigned from the Board of Directors in 2014 after serving for forty years. He appreciated the opportunity of working for such an excellent company and working with such good and dedicated people. Working was always a very important component of his life starting at an early age. His early work history gave him an appreciation for being productive. George was very grateful for the people that helped him along the way through all of the different phases of his life. He was so grateful for their kindness and friendship. George and Marlene spent many enjoyable winters in Arizona and traveling the USA and Canada in their RV. He felt extremely blessed to have had a long life in an ever changing world. A life made better by a loving wife and family. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am. Graveside service will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Green Pond Road, Easton, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations in George's name be made to the charity of your choice.
