Thomas Orsimarsi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Jan. 26, 2026.
Thomas Michael Orsimarsi, 64, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on January 17, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 26, 1961, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Alighiero Rocco Orsimarsi and Helen Ann Osinski Wieczorek.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his sisters Elena Wire (Harry) and Maryjane Morabito (Richard), his brother Leonard Wieczorek, his sister-in-law Linda Orsimarsi, and his nine cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gregory Rocco Orsimarsi.

Thomas treasured the love and support of his family and never missed an opportunity to show how much they meant to him. Friendships were just as important, and many of his friends became family in their own right. Known for his quick wit and signature dry humor, he often left everyone laughing while delivering jokes with a perfectly straight face.

He had a rich imagination and creative spirit, whether acting out movies for his nieces and nephews or writing television scripts. His cheerful, friendly nature made him a joy to be around.

Thomas especially loved spending time with his late brother Gregory and with close friends. He enjoyed attending college baseball games, camping trips, and fishing. Being out on the water in his kayak was where he felt most at peace.

Helping others brought Thomas great fulfillment. If he had something to give, he gave it freely. His empathy, compassion, and generous heart touched many lives. In a final act of selflessness, Thomas was an organ donor, continuing to help others even after his passing.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Medical Field Service Technician.

He will always be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those around him. Thomas will always be our hero.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sharing Hope SC.

The family extends special thanks to friend Eric Wilder, niece Stephanie Wolf, and niece Jennifer Mills for their support and care during this difficult time.

Elena, Mary Jane & Leonard,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies for the loss of Tommy. Even though I didn't know him well, he is still family and I am saddened to learn of his loss. I do remember he was courteous, polite, and reminded me of your dad. Where Greg was gregarious, Tommy was the opposite, stoic and reserved; again, just like your dad. I will keep you all in my prayers and ask God to give your strength through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Tommy.
