Mr. Powers was a proud US Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam. He enjoyed boating, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his spouse, Elizabeth Powers of Pawleys Island, SC, daughter, Kellie (Shawn) Nickerson of North Tonawanda, NY, son, Edward B. (Shannon) Powers of Portland, Oregon, son Brendan (Heather) Powers of Liberty Hill, SC, four grandchildren, Noel & Kyle Nickerson and Zoe and Kennedy Powers, brother, Richard Powers, Niece Julia, nephew Kent Powers, a dear Friend, Earl Weaver and dozens of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 12, 2026, at 2 pm at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island, SC. The Family is planning an additional service in Philadelphia in June of 2026.
The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Martha's House, PO Box 434, Georgetown, South Carolina, 29442.
