Thomas Lee Pollard, aged 74, passed away on September 9th, 2024, at Medical City Plano. He was born on October 7th, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to Dorothy and JB Pollard. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a 1969 graduate of Adamson High School in Oak Cliff. He retired from the Sherman Police Department as a Sergeant in 2000 and went on to the U.S. Marshall's Office until finally fully retiring in 2013. Tom was very outgoing, loved the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Pottsboro American Legion on Wednesday afternoons, telling stories and sharing laughs. His wife, family and beloved dog, Susy, were his biggest passions. Tom always made everyone around him smile and laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kelly Pollard; daughters, LeAnn Reed and Husband, Lynn; Ashlee Hopewell and Husband, Scott; grandchildren, Jake, Ryan, Peyton and Fiancé, Noah, Phoebe, Caroline and Ava; Sisters In-Law; Kathleen Gunter and Husband, Ricky, Jeanet Olson and Husband, Nick, SalliAnne and Husband, Dwayne Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman for family visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on September 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. for a memorial service to reminisce and honor Tom's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.tunnel2towers.org.
