Thomas W. Powers (Tom/Tommy) of Minnetonka, Minnesota died August 19, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.

Tom was born on January 11, 1952, in Shakopee, Minnesota to Myra and Maurice Powers. Tom served in the U.S. Navy 1972-1976. He worked as a machinist for many years and, for the past 20 years, at the VA Medical Center in Environmental Services.

Tom is survived by his five sisters, Sandy, Sharon, Susan, Jackie and Nancy, and many nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Henry, and nephew, Christopher.

A graveside memorial is planned Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery, 830 10th Avenue West, Shakopee, MN 55379.

Memorial arrangements have been made with McNearney Schmidt Funeral Home, Shakopee, MN.
