Thomas Dean Price, Jr., of Dover, Delaware passed away Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. He was 85.
Thomas was born March 13th, 1939, in Ashland, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas D. Price Sr. and Blanche Snyder. He had three sisters and two brothers, Jane, Bill, Sarah, Dianne, and Barry.
Thomas Dean Price, Jr., of Dover, Delaware passed away Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. He was 85.
Thomas was born March 13th, 1939, in Ashland, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas D. Price Sr. and Blanche Snyder. He had three sisters and two brothers, Jane, Bill, Sarah, Dianne, and Barry.
Thomas (Tom) enjoyed spending his time gardening and received awards on his gardening. He loved sports, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He loved his dogs Star, Hershey, Missy, and Libby. Tom dedicated 30 years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1986 as Chief Master Sergeant. He was an avid collector and played on many sports leagues including softball and bowling. He loved golfing, fishing, yard games, race cars, and playing board games with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and loved his family greatly.
In addition to his parents and siblings Jane, Bill, and Sarah, Tom is also preceded in death by his wife, Penelope Annette Price. Tom and Penny were married for 61 years, lived the military life and then retired in Dover.
Tom is survived by his children, Sheron Price Hunter of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Thomas Dean Price, III of Camden, Delaware, and Darrin J. Price of Benson, North Carolina. He has nine grandchildren, Sarah Naddy, Tommy Price, Kyle Hunter, Ryan Price, Madison Price, Corey Price, Connor Price, Alexa Price and Briana Price, and special grandchildren Austin, Andrew and Matthew. Tom also has 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may gather one hour prior. Interment will be held at the Veterans Garden of Honor in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware.
