Susan B. Walls Haxton of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, January 19th, 2025. She was 64.
She was born August 20th, 1960, in Dover, Delaware, to the late John Walls and Delores Failing McDaniel
Mrs. Haxton loved her family more than anything. She was Vice President of the Board at the Shepherds Place. She worked several different positions for the Defencse Commissary Agency for 25 plus years.. Susan volunteered countless hours at many different places, she was always willing to help someone in need.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, L. Paul Haxton, her son, Paul Victor Haxton, her grandson Logan Matthew Haxton, and stepfather Harry McDaniel III.
Mrs. Haxton is survived by her children, Lisa Howard and husband, Dustin of Ridgeville, SC, Karen Miller of Frederica, DE, Matthew Haxton of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Trina Haxton of Middletown, DE; her grandchildren, Waelynn and Wyatt Howard of Ridgeville, SC, Justice Durham and husband, Steven of Sanford, NC, Jasmyn Haxton of Columbia, SC, Jaydan Haxton of Frederica, DE, Alyssa Haxton of Smyrna, DE, Lyndsey Haxton of Middletown, DE, Hayley Haxton of Middletown, DE, Raelyn Haxton of Rogersville, TN, and Ashlyn Haxton of Rogersville, TN; her great grandchildren, Jayce Durham of Sanford, NC and Nolan Durham of Sanford, NC; her brother, Bruce Walls and wife, Lorette of Dover, DE; her sister, Teresa Monroe and husband, Doug of South Carolina; and numerous brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held 1:00pm, Friday January 31st, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may gather one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses.
