It is with great sadness the family of Pamela Marie (Hurd) Biddle announce that she peacefully went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family after a long battle with lung disease.
"Pammy" was the sixth of eight children born to Ada "Marie" Kohout and George E. Hurd Sr. Pam settled down at a young age married in 1980 and began her family, she was a homemaker caring for her children and later in years cared for her mother, several relatives and anyone at need who came to her door. Pam was a kindhearted loving soul who did not like to see anyone do without, she may not have always had a materialistic offering, but her house was always home to anyone who needed a place to rest, and she would find a bite to fill your mouth, she could make something out of nothing. Pam's house always seemed to be "the place to go".
Pam had a very large family and enjoyed being a mother to her three children, even more so a grandmother to her grandchildren and beyond her glory to become a great grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and spending time with her family. Pam loved to read, do sudoku puzzles and seek-in-find's as well as watching soap operas and tv shows. To know Pam was to love her, she always had a smile no matter what struggle she faced, she always found a way. Even in her last moments she concerned herself that everyone would be okay.
Pam's journey was not long enough for those whose lives she touched, although it brings comfort to know Pam was welcomed into the gates of heaven to join not just her parents but her husband Woodrow "Dickie" Biddle Jr., son Keith Biddle, Stepfather Carlton Kohout, Brother Michael Hurd Sr., sisters Joanne Donze and Carol Harrison, nephews Jeffrey Bubniak and Richard Donze and niece Melissa S. Hurd along with several other family members.
Pam leaves her daughters Jessica Dawn Biddle (Mark) of Dover and Heather Marie Biddle (Bucky) of Pennsylvania, Daughter in law, Christina Biddle of Dover, Daughter in Love (Niece) Crystal Donze of Dover, Sisters June Bubniak (John Sr.) of Woodside, Melissa Schroding (Hank) of Felton, brothers George "Buddy" Hurd (Cheryl) of Woodside and Jay Hurd (Donna) of Felton, Janet Kohout of Dover and Steve Kohout of Dover. Grandchildren Jasmine Kennedy (Larry) of Dover, Mark Kennedy Jr. (Tori) of Dover, Aliyah Kennedy of Dover and Mariah Kennedy of Dover. Great Grandchildren Dominic, Isabella, Kaiden and Kingstynn. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The family asks that instead of flowers a donation of any amount be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904, to assist with the cost of services.
Services will be held 1:00pm, Friday, December 6th, 2024, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may visit one hour prior.
