Thomas Rainwater Obituary
Born and raised in Alabama, Thomas built a life rooted in family and service. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant First Class with the 20th Special Forces Group GSC, Army/ANG, demonstrating unwavering dedication throughout his military career. He retired after 20 years of service with the State of Alabama Department of Corrections.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved son, James Thomas Rainwater "Jimbo", and his mother, Nina Rainwater.
He is survived by his father Thomas E. Rainwater, wife of 40 years Janet Rainwater, daughter Caroline Rainwater Bell (Chase), and 2 cherished grandchildren (Charlie & Charlotte), brother Shane Rainwater (Shouna).
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his commitment to those he loved, and the dignity with which he carried himself. Join us for a Celebration of Life at Ezra Baptist Church 1512 Toadvine Rd, Bessemer, AL 35023 from 11am-1pm on December 13,2025 as we honor Thomas C. Rainwater, whose spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts.
