Thomas Dale Renner, 92, of Avon, Indiana passed away Monday, January 24th.
Tom was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, January 5th, 1930, to the late Dale and Mabel Renner. Tom grew up in Lincoln and Columbus Nebraska with his late sister Carla Cossart. Tom settled in Indianapolis where he began his 40-year career in Television Broadcasting and retired from WRTV channel 6 in 1995.
Tom will be affectionately remembered and survived by wife of 43 years, Joann Renner, daughters Shari Wilson, Ann McVety, Cynthia (David) Sochar, Debra Thompson, stepdaughter Betsy Speckman, step sons David (Dory) Speckman, Jay (Jill) Speckman, Jon (Debbie) Speckman, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, February 1st for a celebration of Tom's wonderful life at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a remembrance service to begin directly following at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name (Thomas Renner) to The American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas, 75284. Online donations can be made at here
